Hi I'm Galen!

I’m an 3rd year editor at ESPN working on the digital editorial team, specifically covering the NBA. I work with and manage national reporters covering the sports landscape, keeping a pulse on relevant news and storylines which lead to innovative and compelling storytelling for ESPN.com.

I graduated from Stanford University with a Masters degree in Communications and Media Studies with a focus in journalism as well as a Bachelors degree in Science, Technology and Society with a focus in Product Management.

I have 3.5 years of editorial experience, pitching, greenlighting, editing and content planning around major sports events specifically covering the NBA. I am familiar with quickturn projects and meeting deadlines. I am also well versed in backend programming, interfaces and coding relative to building articles for front-facing user experience.

I was born and raised in Glen Ridge, New Jersey.

I played five years of women’s lacrosse at Stanford University, have won three Pac-12 championships, was team captain in 2022, and was a Pac-12 Academic Honoree from 2019-2022
